Wish we had moved Severson and his DOG contract. But that would probably have required a big salary retention
It makes sense to let the new GM come in and evaluate before making any big moves. Would be interested to know who they were for. Interest in Proverov or Merzlikens wouldn’t be too surprising, but can’t imagine the return would be great… now some of the pending RFA’s like Bean or Boqvist or Texier… that might be interesting because it’s doubtful we’ll bring them all back, but JD is right that the next GM should make that decision
A lot of people assume it’s Merzlikins and/or Provorov but I wonder if Boone is who he could mean. JD said Boone wasn’t being traded but that doesn’t mean teams didn’t come calling anyways.
Either way I’m fine with this decision. Part of what will make this job so appealing is the assets. No need to mess with that before the new shot caller is here.
Not suprising, but I am in agreement. There is to much up in the air right now and I would rather have the new gm evaluate the team and be able to build the team in his own vision than blindly making trades and hoping they mesh with the future direction of the team
Really Roslovic was the only whi had to go now but getting Peeke without retention was a nice bonus that you were gonna get much a ways from. Defensive dmen always goes at a premium and Boston offered These bigger trades can wait during the summer…especially when this deadline was a buyers market anyways

Roslovic and Peeke definitely had to be moved but I agree with him. Leave most of the squad intact, let the new guy come in and evaluate it.
JD should be gone too. We need to clean house in the front office. Keep only big dick rick all others are gone.
I was okay with the moves today, that third rounder for Peeke was more than I expected.
