Some kind of book keeping favor or something? Roster space?

Have to really question this move.

It drastically lowers our H/60 (handsome per 60 minutes).

Philly fan here. Wade has game. He shouldn’t be written off as an AHL’er. He is an NHL talent without any question. He’s had two issues that keep him from sticking in the NHL.

    1. He plays so damn aggressive and physical, and his body just can’t keep up. He’s always hurt.

    2. He is offensively gifted and wants to play a Corey Perry type game. The problem is he’s not quite offensively gifted enough to play top 6 in the NHL (perhaps in the right situation he could), and he has failed to adapt his game to be a more effective checking winger.

Coaches have been pretty transparent about him in the past, saying he needs to stop with the dekes, stop with the lateral plays, and commit to playing a power north/south game. If he has the willingness to do this, he could be a really nice energy depth winger that has an all-world wrister release, and is more than capable of sliding up in the lineup for spot work. You guys should also keep in mind, Philly has a massive glut of young right wingers, Wade just got cucked by the numbers game.

Anyone care to share the low down on Gurianov?

Gurianov fits in the same way Sherwood does. Offensive pop on a grinder line but hopefully holds his own and can forecheck.

Sherwood got it going again and Gurianov didn’t. Sherwood isn’t coming out. Now Beauvilier is in the mix.

Gurianov was back in with Trenin traded and only got like five minutes last night. That line was not good. His lines got no unblocked shots when he was out there.

Getting anything for him probably beats trying to waive him to get him back to Milwaukee. Allison has also been in the AHL all year so he doesn’t have the same risk.

His give a fucks per 60 is off the charts.

  6. Seen some speculation that Preds might have believed Gurianov wouldn’t have cleared waivers for Zucker if sent down.

Hence the move for AHL depth.

Seems like he had real bad luck with an injury
