The problem with that first line is that Kreider and Zib play like a two man game.. Honestly that line needs to be split up.
Excited to see Roslovic and Wennburg hit the ice! Also glad to see we didn't have to give up a 1st round pick
This is a better trade than people think. Transition monster. Right hand on the right side. Feeding pucks all day to Mika
Reminds me of the Copp, Motte additions from a couple years back.
The hope now is that Jack can somehow spark that top line. Although Zib and CK are playmakers as well, and Jack will have to be more of a shooter and less of a stick handler. Kakko goes back to Cuyle’s line with a defensive minded center in Wennberg maybe allows Kakko to open up his offensive game more and be attacked minded (and somehow score on an open net occasionally). I think that’s best case for NYR with this deal.
If this is the kind of guy that likes the idea of playing on the big stage and just needs that change of scenery, then I'm okay with it. I don't understand why we didn't get Duclair but at least it's something.
This guy was very noticeable in the 2 consecutive losses to CBJ recently. I hope he slots in well.
UPDATE
The conditions on the pick going to Columbus is now official. It's a 2026 4th round pick that can become a 2026 3rd round pick if the Rangers make the cup final and Jack Roslovic plays in 50% of the games in the playoffs.
I mean how many times can they try Kaako on the 1st line. They tried last year, year before, this I think first 15 games or so… He just does not fit on the first line. To me he is typical Finnish forward really good defensively and can chip in a goal of 2 from time to time. Definitely not worth 2nd overall, but does belong in NHL.

This trade line did nothing to improve the Rangers playoff chances. This will be another playoff failure in a long list of playoff failures for the core group on this team and until that core changes they will never win in the playoffs.
This was such a smart and affordable move. Drury didn’t go out and spend on the most expensive hype.
Got a hard nosed playmaker instead.
Well, last year they went for 2 marquee names and lost in the first round anyway.
This year I think they are going for specialists instead.
It could work.
Their bottom six looks pretty solid and deep.
Hopefully it will be a good recipe for success.
So far I like what they are doing. And we have 20 games to see if they nailed it.
We were already good, we got deeper. The moves weren't as flashy as some other contenders. The proof will be in the pudding from here on out. LGR!!!

Let’s give this a chance. I’m thinking this could really work. Maybe commit to a third line of Cyulle Wennberg and Roslovic and (hear me out I know it might be nuts). Maybe bump Laffy up with Mika and Kreids. I feel like he’s produced well enough to not necessarily need his hand held by Panarin. And see if putting Kakko on the right of Troch on that line helps him produce. Just a thought. I know it might seem crazy to separate that second line trio because they’ve been our only 5on5 producers. But maybe they give it a few games to see if something clicks. For this post season to sine Kakko’s gotta contribute points wise. He’s been playing a good physical defensive game with good handling. He just doesn’t score. And that’s what we need for this forward core to be complete. That’s my Ted talk. Feel free to insult me below.

Perfect they didn’t do to much because we don’t need much we have the horses in our stable. People who act like this team is bad just don’t understand how to see past their own nose. This organization is primed to be formidable for many years as it stands right now and the cap keeps going up. Glad to see them believe in our system and future. Let’s go 🎉

I honestly think Drury got exactly what this team needed but we have people crying because we didn’t mortgage the future wanting Kakko gone just like they wanted Laffy gone,kakko hasn’t gotten a real chance up until this season then he got seriously hurt I honestly think he will prove to everyone he can be a force LGR!
Good trade. Roslovic scored a goal and had an assist vs. the Rangers a couple of weeks ago. He is a decent underrated player.

For many years now, we often just needed one or two guys that have the scoring skills to change a game in the playoffs. And we go out again and bring in 2 players that may be good, but are NOT game changers. On paper, Panthers and Hurricanes are better teams, especially after the players they got today. I'm so disappointed we didn't even get one high caliber scorer, just what this team needed…
The additions of Wennberg and Roslovic are damn good moves. I didn’t want to see the Rangers give up a first rounder for Guentzel, who they can’t keep, and I’d have been upset if they traded away Othmann or Perrault. I think these players really solidify the Rangers chances in the postseason, and give them a more legitimate shot at the Cup.
I like the moves but I love the grit and physicality Rempe and Edstrom bring, 3rd line could be a solid shutdown line with 4th being a true checking line, something like cullye/vesey, wennberg, kaako/roslovic 3rd Edstrom/goodrow brodzinski/goodrow Rempe/brodzinski 4th

Roslovic deserves a shot at 1RW, slide Kaapo back down to 3rd line where he was playing well with Cuylle. Wennberg as 3C, Roslovic 1RW, and we keep it moving
i wish Drury could have somehow gotten Guentzel or Buchnevich but I'm happy with what we've got
Zibanijad should Join The Ice Capades. BC that's all he does is skate around like a Tripod. Watch him. He doesn't battle and sucks on faceoffs . He's not a playoff piece.
