Read something yesterday that players had to be assigned to an AHL roster by the end of the day in order to be eligible for the AHL playoffs so this probably explains why it wasn’t official until today.

Yzerman has made it clear that he doesn’t think this current iteration of the roster is worth investing in so he may as well call up Kasper, Edvinsson, and Berggren and give them a taste of the NHL.
