Pretty good acquisition all things considered. Duclair is a top six only type and will help provide some goals outside of those we get on the PP or directly set up by kuch. He's a finisher and will up the tempo of the top line a bit.
Will definitely help the offense. Defense on the other hand… yikes. Go ahead goal tonight went right past hedmans stick. He’s looking pretty sleepy out there.
Excellent trade for a 3rd. Top 6 forward in his prime for a 3rd is a win.
How can the Lightning play Stamkos at LW over Hagel or Duclair? Clearly those 2 are better at this point.
So Stankos value is almost exclusively on the power play if hes not on the Point line.
Trade for a defensemen is good. Hedman is awful right now. No grit or effort. What happened to him?

I love Stamkos but he’s not worth 1 million at this point better yet 9. De Haan might actually be the worst defenseman in all of the nhl right now. Sheary needs to go and contrary to the narrative been shoved down our throats, Lilleberg has just been bad
Vasi clearly came back from the back injury too early because we started out the season like 5-12 or something and is now being forced to play as just a complete non-factor for the season. If it were me, I woulda traded for a backup goalie and told Vasi to rest for the rest of the season cuz we ain’t gonna make playoffs anyways
Sharks fan here: If you put Duclair on a good line and give him enough leash to do his thing, then he will be a good player for you (and make some highlight reels along the way). But if he is not happy with the way he is being used or if the coach is too hard on him, then he can get pouty and disappear for stretches. He did spend some time in David Quinn's doghouse this season. But the last few weeks he has been excellent. Good luck to y'all.
