That bogus first penalty killed the Devils. The Canes clobbered Daws in the crease and the refs did nothing. It is killing us to give up the first goal. Jack had quite a few shots hit the post. Fitzgerald waited too long to fix the Devils problems this season. It is tragic and frustrating. I would like to see Green bench Hughes and/or Nemec for a while and have Ssmteri Hattaka on the roster.

I'm surprised thats the same bottle of Jack Daniels since yesterday….that being said, I am starting to think maybe the problems with this team were well beyond Lindys' control. If Green said he wanted full autonomy with the roster, that made the concerns public. Maybe they are finally letting the coaching staff do their job. Also, Fitz did nothing to get us a solid goaltender. He should be canned for that. Regardless, Lindy eventually lost the room, and needed to go. Now that the Devils are out of the playoffs, I would like to see either Florida or the Oilers win. Florida has never won a cup before, so I would like to see them win one. And the Oilers, I agree, I would like to see Adam Henrique lift the cup.
We need a 1A Goalie and a Canes like Defense.

The devils forwards aren't willing to dump the puck into the corners and playing that style of hockey. You won't beat the Carolina's or Florida's trying to carry the puck in. Can Luke Hughes please stop doing that move on the power play, its painful to watch. Nobody else in the league does that!

I grew up in Florida. If the Devils do not make the playoffs then I am rooting for the Florida Panthers to win it all finally. Plus I always root for whoever plays against the Rangers and the Hurricanes.

Stop me if you've heard this before, they gave up the first goal of the game again, the 47th time they've done that this season, our goalies couldn't come up with clutch saves, they gave up two more empty-netters and they came up short against a better team. Terrible.

Ownership is not as impetuous, irrational, and illogical as many fans are. They won't let unchecked emotions cloud their judgement. They'll meet at season's end and review & evaluate Fitz and make a determination on what was the gm's fault and what wasn't. His fate will be determined at that time. In my opinion, the one GLARING mistake that Fitz made was over valuing Schmid. Probably not a fireable offense though. In the end, ownership will stay the course…..correctly. #staythecoursekeepfitz.
