What’s a trade deadline ? – Hughes, probably
How Sedgwickian!
Ca sent la coupe
From what I read, he plays a ‘sandpaper’ type of game. 6 foot and has performed in the AHL. He is 25 but acts as an « energizer bunny », brings a lot of energy but no finish at all. Basically a larger RHP? Seems like a KH type trade though.
E: Personally I like this. Seems similar to byron. He obviously will not become Verhaeghe, but it isn’t impossible
AHL trade for the upcoming playoffs. The AHL trade deadline is 1 week after the NHL trade deadline, ~~and since Durandeau does not have an NHL contract, he is still eligible for the AHL playoffs despite the fact that he wasn’t on the roster last friday at 3 PM.~~
Edit: Durandeau has a two-way NHL contract, thank you for the correction /u/stevencat . He is eligible for AHL playoffs because he was on an AHL roster at 3pm Friday, even though it was a different AHL team, it still counts for his eligibility.
I don’t watch the AHL much, but Durandeau is 2 years older than Legaré and has 18 pts in 38 games this season vs 9 pts in 39 for Legaré. Both are the same size, Legaré is 20 pounds heavier according to HockeyDB. Interesting move for sure for people who follow Laval!
Former Moosehead, I’m immediately happy.
Ehh I share a birthday with that guy haha
Durandeau could be a guy to call up if Joshua Roy is sent down to help the Rocket. He has some NHL experience (4 games) but that’s better than nothing. It’s an insurance policy.
Oh no way, I went to school with Arnaud! So cool that he gets to come back and play in Montreal
2nd time in 4 months that Durandeau is traded.
2nd time in 8 months for Légaré.
Durandeau brings more speed, offense and PP production. Rocket had trouble finding a role for Légaré. Was a PKer most off all.
Just nice to see Kent try to tinker with the farm team. 3 pts behind the Marlies. It’s a nice opportunity for the kids to play high stake games trying to make the playoffs. Building a winning culture starts there.
EDIT: non-negligible tidbit: Durandeau was a vet with the Halifax Mooseheads when Barron started in the Q there.
Durandeau a 2 fois plus de points que Légaré en autant de match, sur papier ça me semble un bon move
I liked legare, he was pretty good, saw him in laval a few times, hopefully he does well in NJ
