The jets traded a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th for Monahan, Tofolli, and Miller tampa paid all that plus a 5th for Tanner Jennot
Ducks have a loaded pipeline, really only one bad contract, maybe Killorn improves once his knee has time to heal, Zegras will be back next year, will be at $51m cap after the season so lots of room to get a free agent, no one going to UFA that we want to keep, no one going to RFA that will break the bank. The GM has positioned the team well for the future.

The teams that fill holes without losing team chemistry are the ones that win. The teams that bring in 100 new players lose. If roslovic could complete that Rangers first line this is a very deep and scary team with no real weakness. Goaltending is elite defense is very good and offense is also very good.
Vegas pushed the chips all in, no more pile of picks and assets next year and a huge pile of UFA's. Good luck making the playoffs, from an Avs fan.
I don't know what Scott Wedgewood you've been watching but Dallas' Scott Wedgewood has played very well and currently has better numbers than Oettinger. He was instrumental in keeping us collecting points for a 13-game stretch in December too.

Fitz was worst GM in the league this year. I said the Sharangovich trade was awful when everyone else was thrilled about it. I didn’t understand with our style of play, why we would send out a penalty killing, fast skater, sniper in our preferred age range for a slow, streaky, non defensive winger with 1 year and wrong side of 30… BONEHEAD move and I’m so upset that I was right. Sharangovich is going to be a great player in this league for a long time and be on very good deals. He’s the perfect Swiss Army Knife player.
Once that move was made, it was the beginning of the end. In November it was obvious we needed a new goalie and a new coach. Somehow it took until March…?!?!? What the f*** was Fitz doing all season?!?!?

Sharks fan here. I’d give them a C– on the deadline deals. Duclair deal to TB was probably their best trade. Other trades were a wash. Not sure why they HAD to trade Hertl now instead of waiting until the offseason, it was an obvious favor to Hertl to get him somewhere quickly and not the best return.
SJ is still stuck with Hoffman, Labanc, Barabonov, and Rutta…all guys they were hoping to flip for picks at the deadline. Not a lot of interest in Sharks players and they used up their last retention slot on Hertl.
Sharks added 2 prospects and a future unprotected 1st from Vegas. They gave up their franchise center, all their retention slots through next year, and stuck with guys they were hoping to flip.
All the additional cap space they’re gaining next year is kind of useless without being able to retain salary on someone at the deadline. Curious how that shakes out for them next year…
