Makes a lot of sense, I suggested 2×1.1 on here a couple days ago but not bothered by a few 100k lol
WintersbaneGDX
That seems like money well spent, considering he’s L3/PP2, and probably good enough to even catch some second line shifts.

Good deal. Was hoping for 2×1.25 and expecting 2×1.5. Happy with somewhere in the middle.

Gotta tip the cap to Tre on this one. Would have been easy to go out and add more experienced depth pieces instead of even giving McMann a true shot at proving himself. There’s something to be said for actually allowing your internal pieces the opportunity to prove themselves and not just keeping them buried in the depth chart.
My one gripe with Dubas was that he was so quick to spend assets and bring in external depth pieces while not giving internal options a fair chance first.
It ends up working out perfectly here since McMann took the opportunity and ran with it and since he doesn’t have a track record, he stays very affordable. If there’s a player with the exact same skill level and production this year, but he’s been proven to maintain this for a few years already, that’s tacking on a decent chunk to this contract.
