I think Crosby seems gutted by the Guentzel trade and was hoping management would have acquired some pieces to make the playoffs. This is hard to see the penguins declining so fast considering Crosby is still a top 40 player. With one year left on his contract, I hope he can go to a team to make another run for the cup next year. If he decides to play out his contract he will most likely retire as a penguin.

They made playoffs 18 years in a row I believe traded a lot of 1 rounders to keep it going time for a rebuild
