   The Sabres also improved defensively over that time: from the beginning of the season to January 1st they ranked 21st in xGA/60, from January 1st to today they rank 14th (per evolving hockey at 5v5).

   I’ve been following UPL since his big finals game in the lower leagues where he lost with something like 65 shots against

   Thought he deserved way more shots in the NHL and just needed more time. So happy he finally got his shot this year at being a starter and getting some help in front down the stretch

   I don’t know that fans were necessarily wrong to want to waive the guy, but boy are we as a fanbase eating some crow, and I don’t think anybody is upset about it.

   Upie has pretty single-handedly kept the squad in contention and I am here for it.

   You could see the flashes through the years of his brilliance.

   And I really want to em to run a two headed goalie monster with UPL and Levi next season. Give UPL majority of the starts and then gradually give more games to Levi and hell. If you have a 1a 1b situation and can split them evenly and win a shit ton of games! You do it!!!
