I don’t think the majority of people appreciate how crazy good Foerster has been as a rookie this season. Dude has developed an absolutely stellar 200-foot game, and despite not being able to finish early in the year and playing on a team with an atrocious Powerplay is *still* on pace for a ~20 goal campaign.
He has quickly changed the narrative from « if he can overcome his skating, he could be a middle-six guy » to « if he continues to improve on finishing his chances and adds a bit more playmaking to his game, he could legitimately become a top-line player ». For a team that refuses to tank but still wants to rebuild, the development of Foerster over the last 18 months has been a HUGE win

If Ersson can bounce back from a couple of TERRIBLE games…. He’s had a GREAT year.
