It's embarrassing that Chicago doesn't look after their best player. If this was Edmonton circa 1980s, if someone had done this to Gretzky the guy wouldn't have skated off the ice- they would have needed to stretcher him. And everyone knew this and stayed away, and Gretzky went through his career without injury, broke all the records, and helped Edmonton win a bunch of Stanley Cups. Bedard is a little shorter than Gretz, and about the same weight. No match in any way, with the 230 pound muscle guys that think it is cool to try and hurt him. Chicago does not deserve Bedard, the NHL should force a trade to a team that knows how to protect him.
I understand that bedard kinda fell on his own, i agree with the small push after that, but if you prevent someone from standing up for more than 1-2 sec, you are clearly deserving a pen for interference.
