Hopefully Zary back soon, but in any event Pelts needs to play. He’s sliding down the development curve right now and the wranglers need help.

Makes sense, they are off until Saturday and wranglers play next two days.

As a Wranglers season ticket holder, I’m selfishly happy about this.

Better to be playing on the Wranglers than sitting in the press box watching the Flames. We have too many Wingers rn, hopefully he gets back but if not I hope he has a good injury free season next year for us

Well, at least he just has to switch locker rooms, not jump on a plane to California.

I feel he still has lingering effects from his injury and the recovery phase. This assignment is to help him get back to top form.

Basically been a lost season of crucial development for him. Significant injury early in camp and then trying to jump on a moving train as basically a rookie still and more than halfway though the year when most of the lines were pretty set and there wasn’t really a good spot for him. Sucks but go play top minutes and be the best player on the Wranglers.

in addition to all the other guys posts, we have next to zero chance of playoffs now, he can help the wranglers, feel better, keep playing/getting healthy at no risk of losing him… so why not?

The entire Wranglers team is crying with relief.

I have no idea what Pelts is. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to watch enough games of him before his injury to get a solid sense of what he is. If it’s true that he’s not as dogged on the puck then he’ll definitely need to fix that. He doesn’t have the skating to not be the most tenacious player on the team. I hope some AHL confidence helps.

I feel like this is long overdue. I appreciated that they let him come back to the NHL so quickly because he had earned his spot, but realistically, he should have been in the AHL for the first month to get back up to speed.

This will be great for him.
