  1. Steve, couldn't agree more with the Reilly/Brodie pairing. What do you think of this idea? Try Reilly at left wing. He is great offensively and makes intelligent plays when he gets down low in the o-zone and he is strong on the boards. But he is a disaster in his own end, especially in front of his net. It might be worth a try when the other dmen are all healthy. I really want to see Benoit playing more regularly.

  2. At the start of the third i just had that feeling the leafs would wake up and get the game close, just to let us down twice tonight.

  3. Apparently my cat does not like Shouty Man Steve as much as I do. She vacated the premises as soon as the video started. She does not know what's fun.

  4. im so glad bertuzzi is doing well witht he leafs- ive always been a fan of his game. im starting to think that if toronto was managed by say dallas or carolina's managament theyd win an astounding amount of these games.

  5. 🎼🎶“Pass the mustard to the left hand side…” Yes. Put Brodie on the left. Where he belongs!
    Great LFR Steve!!
I’d say you took one, actually two, for the team tonight.
Hopefully that makes next year’s LFR Intro…
I thought Benny played well tonight. Hopefully Boosh will be back soon. I agree with you about Liljegren’s dual personality. The coupon winner was playing tonight.
And honestly, isn’t it time for the Nick Robertson experiment to be over? He’s a bit like a hamster on a running wheel, no shortage of energy, spinning spinning spinning and achieving nothing.

  6. I love how you used the Frosted Flakes jersey as a Flyers jersey and the guy on the Flyers with a Leafs connection is named Frost. He ALWAYS seems to score on the Leafs as if he use to play for the Leafs.

  7. You got to love Torts he benches some of his better players just to make the game fair. 😂

  8. How about Brodie always having the bad luck of being on the wrong end of a embarrassing speed burst highlight? First, McDavid when Brodie was in Calgary, and than last night with Owen Tippett.

  9. This game made me realize that we are a first round out again this year. This team is just not built to win.

  10. Look, I get it. We made some changes to the roster, and we’ve lost some guys to injuries, but we more or less found line matchups that worked well together. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TAKE THE F#%KING LINE BLENDER AWAY FROM SHELDON KEEFE AND CUT THE F$&KING CORD. This is the crap that happens everytime he randomly decides to play musical chairs with his lines. And he keeps doing thing he knows do not work. Reilly and Brodie will never work. We’ve seen the stats and they make each other worse. I don’t care if every other defensemen on your team is knocked out, and you filling the defence with volunteers from the crowd, never put Brodie with Reilly again.

  11. Might I remind everyone that the sky is not falling! The Leafs played well last night and have been playing well overall! Don't focus on this one game!

  12. I've been saying this for years, but I think with this year I finally have the proof I need. THEY NEED TO GET RID OF MORGAN RIELY. IDC how much you like him, he's a CURSE on this team. They play better without him, and he costs a LOT of money. There's just no need to have him, he's nothing but a liability.

  13. Leafs fan. My observations about this game. Neither team played all that well or all that bad. The Leafs struck the goal post about 6 times. A half inch on half those and we have a 6-4 Leafs victory and we feel different afterward. Hockey, like baseball is a game of inches. As for Toronto, irrespective of all else, this team will NOT beat Florida. My guess will be a Panthers sweep or 4-1 Panthers. If they play Boston it will be 4-1 Bruins or maybe 4-2 Bruins, but they will not beat them either. They can beat other teams, some of them great teams, but the teams within their own division – NO. Next season is a write off due to contracts. I am sick to death of the Leafs GM Kyle / Brad trading away draft picks for rentals on a team that is not going deep in the playoffs. Has it worked so far? What have we gotten for those rentals other than a bunch of 1st round exits, excluding 2023. It has not been worth it. DO NOTHING at the trade deadline next year.

  14. "How is your team gonna be prepared for the start of tomorrow's game?"

Since when were the Leafs ever prepared at the start of a game?

  15. I'm a Flyers fan, and this is a prime example of why I love watching your videos– even if they have nothing to do with my team. If you love hockey and have any sense of humor, SD is always worth your time.

Also I think the taste actually grew on you a bit after the second mustard cupcake there!🤣🇺🇸 🏒 🇨🇦 🧁🌭

  16. Keefe again proving he isn't an NHL coach. 3 shifts and he changes his lines. The guy doesn't have a clue, a echl league coach could win with this team in the regular season. Come playoff time when the real coaching begins Keefe has been out coached by a large margin.

  17. Keefe couldn't hold Tortz markers let alone coach against him. I like Keefe, but he's not an NHL caliber coach. I wouldn't mind seeing him coach the Marlies again, than bring in a guy like Gallant to coach the leafs.

  18. Still think the Leafs should’ve but the bullet and traded for Walker. I know the ask was high but this team is one puck moving RHD away from being complete and if they suffer ONE injury to a RHD they’re hooped. Edmundson ain’t it. Lybushkin ain’t enough. You gotta get this team the right D. That’s what win championships
