I have been saying this for a few years now… but the Leafs should "Wedel Clark" Morgan Rielly. Wendel Clark was drafted as a Defenseman and the leafs made him into a winger. I think Rielly would be more effective as a LW that could quarterback the PP. Only problem is, the Leafs are not very deep on the blueline. That would a pretty good answer as to who should play on the top line with Matthews and Marner.
Bertuzzi isn't a wild card. Hes already elevated his game recently…So to me its Knies. If knies can provide a boost on his current contribution it will be a difference maker
The poor coach's system aside. This team is not built to beat Florida or Boston. They lack the physical play, good defensive system, goaltending and balanced scoring .
Unless they move out of the Atlantic . Beating these two teams should be the team build expectation. Otherwise they will never make it past the first or second round of the playoffs .

When Morgan Rielly was suspended, the Leafs won all five games he was absent. With Mitch Marner injured with a high ankle sprain, the team got away from team defense and lost two straight.
If any of the softies show up, that’d be a pretty big surprise/wildcard. 😂😂😂
Put Domi on the first line with Matthews
Marner better come through man this is it for him…Matthews needs to show up as well in clutch moments
I'm not worried about Reilly or Nylander or Tavares
