A great 40 minute game for the boys!! A lot of depth scoring!! Loved the 9 second left Connor brown goal!! Some great team play, sabres didn’t know which way was up in the third. Kept the sabres to 5 shots in the third !! 💙🧡💙🧡🥅🏒 thanks for the rundown !! Keep doing the great work good sir!!
Oilers played like a team that didnt have 29, 97, or hyman in the lineup in the first. Just going through the motions. no emotion or killer instinct matched with effort. Are they feeling entitled?
Not a good start then the boys woke up. The Viking said in an interview they were not happy in the dressing room after the first. He said this effort will not fly in the playoffs. New additions starting to gel and should only improve in the remaining games before the playoffs
You are aware of how I feel about the starts these guys keep coming in with so I won't get into it. Just glad they pulled it off but, like you say, this ain't gonna fly in the playoffs. I'm concerned.
A very good morning to all Oilers fans from Germany! Tonight I could support my team to an absurd time in at 4am . But I saw an interesting and above all winning game from my team! After 20 min of a real good sleep from all boys on ice, they started at the second period to pull out the cork of the bottle. Scored the equalizer shortly before the end and started a Rocketeer return at the third. Tremendous play from all of them. For my the scene of the period was the second goal from Ekholm, passed from the dynamic duo in an unbelievable way!!! It was tricky, automatic, well known, simply crazy, and Ekholm like Hyman as a Goalgetter! Hyman impressed me too, always there in front of the goal, and his stick was again magic this game, 2 goals, great performance Zack!!! Happy to tell you this, thanks to Patrick to his living room, hope you had the same fun as I had. So la Bamba babies the run has started for the division finals, hope we will get the Canucks! Cheers from Germany, all the best for everybody…
2 plus points: a) Apart from the signing of free agent Zack Hyman, the ability by Oilers GM Ken Holland to obtain Mattias Elkolm in a trade with Nashville has been the best move that he has ever made during his tenure as GM of the Edmonton Oilers. b) IMHO, he has clearly shown that both on the ice and off the ice, Ekholm has not only earned a superstar status but it could also be said that he could be ranked within the top five best defencemen that are currently playing in NHL.
