  1. I think we have to alter our expectations of Lindholm. What I saw last night especially was a Montreal version of Philipp Danault, and that's going to be very valuable in the playoffs. The way he kills penalties and plays defence is key. Sure, you'd like him to score goals, but would I pay a 1st rounder for a 1993 Guy Charbonneau? Absolutely. Without hesitation. Especially on this team. This isn't the 80s. In the playoffs, you need guys who can play like Lindholm has played recently. If he can chip in with some offence, great, but I think he's too hard on himself. Yes, the team isn't scoring like they did before Joshua got hurt, but they've definitely tightened up defensively and Elias #2 has been a big part of that. If you don't see his value to this team, don't pretend you know anything about hockey. I believe he struggled last night in the face-off circle, but he's generally excellent, so that's going to be valuable. He makes the odd mistake, but everyone does. There's a reason he's centring the 3rd line. He won't score much from there, but suddenly, the Canucks have the kind of depth down the middle that you need to be a serious contender. They just need Demko back and healthy. I'm getting tired of fans attacking him because he's not on a 40 goal pace. That's not your job as 3rd line centre and penalty killer. Obviously, he and Rick would like him to put up points, but he's been fine. Again, think Guy Charbonneau (I know, kiddos, look him up – you're supposed to be tech savvy, use Google) NOT a 2nd line centre. They have Pettersson and Miller. They've gone from being a team that had almost no depth down the middle to being one of the deepest teams at that position in the league. Take a chill pill.

  2. Never get tired of Tocchets pressers. Great insights and not over guarded. Dude’s a man, which you can’t always say these days.
