When it became 4-0 I wanted to tell the guy next to me that I was attending my first in person Aves loss, but I held off just in case. I know teams have done it before.
When we ended the period 4-2, I had some hope. If we get aggressive and take control, we can tie it up.
When the puck dropped in overtime there was no doubt in my mind Avelanche would win. I’m glad I kept my mouth shut. Go Avelanche!

Things are only going to get worse for Pittsburgh next year. They don’t have much in the prospect pipeline or many draft picks on the table. They foolishly kept going all in on an aging core well past their prime at the trade deadline. I don’t think they have the pieces in place or the cap space to retool on the fly like Washington.
