Auston decided to make up for the loss of playmaking with no Mitch in the lineup
Papi has not been enjoying the comments that he never passes
he took the allegations of no assists personally
If Domi realized he’s not Tomas Kaberle I bet Matthews has a few more assists.
Matthews is incredible. Scores like a maniac. Mitch is out of the lineup and he ups his playmaking while still putting up some goals.
Generational talent. Blessed to have him as a maple leaf. I know someday we will look back at him as the greatest leaf of all time regardless of playoff success.
If we get a cup with him…it’ll be undebatable.

I like that he works hard in the corners and isn’t afraid to throw hits. It’s nice to have a centre star player who isn’t lazy. (Yes I’m thinking of Kessle… still not over those years lol.)
Since Marner went down he’s become an assist maestro.
Yet another facet of his game, and an underrated one at that
