Better now than later and if it stops people from crying that Benoit isn’t playing, good.
We have depth with players and have the luxury of sitting defensemen. You’d rather no one be banged up right now but keeping everyone in the best shape for Game 1 is more important. If the Leafs were fighting to stay in the playoffs I guarantee they both play tonight
I guess it’s that time of year to sit players before the playoffs.
Thankfully we have a few D able to slot in. The extra depth is looking helpful right now
