I have thought since they went to the OT… it should be 100% 3pt games… RW – 3pts, OTW – 2 pts, OL – 1pt and RL- 0pt.. not extras … all games worth the same amount.. it would change the standings.. they say it won't.. but I have calc'd it and it would.. at 1pt for every RW and just see what happens.. you should get a bonus for winning in regulation… and every game should be worht the same amount.. if only 2 pts.. then go back to the WLT format and no extra pt for an OTL.. Only in the NHL can half of the teams to into the playoffs.. but yet a .500 record be NOT EVEN close to making the playoffs.. if we didn't have the OT extra pt.. .500 would be around the playoff line and maybe even above it in one conference.
A little worried about tonight's game, because Ottawa is a heavy team that always plays us tough, and with how far back they are, they have no pressure on them. Hoping for a win, but will keep expectations in check 😂

Wayne, I believe your right around my age. So the reason your hurting is age. Heck you look at something wrong and you'll tweak something. On the Sabre's for this year our fate is sealed. Looking for the draft and what we do in the off season. Gotta be playoffs next year! They just have to be in them! I am not saying anymore.

I don’t hate granato I think he was the right coach to get us out the mess we were in and over 500% back to back seasons is not bad that being said we have reached our peak with granato and we need a different voice to teach us how to play as a physical team and with playoff grit that takes a coach who has playoff experience that’s why I still like quennville Ik the nhl looks at him bad now because of Chicago scandal but he’s one hell of a coach probably the second best coach all time or top 5 for certain just my thoughts
Shootouts are way to fluky I agree if they keep overtime it should be 5 on 5 for 5 minutes and then a tie
if they are going to have 3on3, they should award overtime wins with 0.5points, so you get 1.5points for an OTW.
the worst thing with 3on3, is how they have sweeped into international hockey. gold medal games, that is 3on3 overtime? absolutely ridicoulus.

I want them to lose the rest of the games. I know it sucks to tank but we arent going anywhere with softie Granato and I want him fired. A plus would be a better draft pick.

I’m not sure what the head to head between Buffalo and Florida were last season, so I’m not sure where the tie breaker would lie, but had Florida not earned that ONE “participation OTL point, we would have had the EXACT same record!
