  1. They can't do anything beyond a second round pick ($4.3 M) because their 2025 first round pick is still in flux.

  2. No. Absolutely not. Do not give up on the 2026 draft pick. You draft talent to win the cup, and they have the best chance to draft high in the next few years. 2026 is the most important draft in the next few years before the new building opens. Don’t give an offer sheet.

  3. as much as it sounds nice, the flames only meet the requirements to offer sheet on the 1st and 3rd level. Because all the stupid conditions Tree put on the pick for the kadri/Monahan debacle, it locks up 3 years of the flames first rounder until it is figured out when Montreal gets it. That being said, all we can offer a player is 1st level 775,000 – $1,415,740 for no compensation needed, or 3rd level $2,145,062 – $4,290,125 which would cost 1 second round pick. The latter seems very interesting but very doubtful.

  4. We're screwed unless we get lucky with draft choices and a star goalie. (Wolf being that guy will be lucky.) Can we buy out Huberdeau and Kadri? lol

  5. I see us having all these picks in potential trades for guys like Kadri. The team wanting Kadri will not want his contract but if you threw in the Vegas pick, maybe teams would be more inclined to take him.

  6. Offer sheets are fun but no way a 2nd year GM is going to do that.

It’s a brutally incestuous league and he will be beaten up about it for yeeeears

  7. Necas would cost enough to include a first round pick. So why mention him? Learn the rules first guys. Waste of time.
