Great game. Rogers Arena was a lot of fun. Canucks fans were nice and the music was good. Different from the AAC but very entertaining. Highly recommend seeing a game there if you have the chance!

I was just wondering when this thread was going to come up because I had a silly thought cross my mind while preparing for an interview.

You can play one video pre game on the AAC board. Nothing explicit because come on even I have limits. What are you playing? Something reverential to the team? A cameo from John Oliver asking Suter to retire or some other meme bit? Something ironically boring to see if you cave before the riot starts?

I honestly don’t know what I’d go for. Probably something with a mix of bite with an endearing note.

  3. European here, I couldn’t see the game live this night, but I recorded it… so what are the ‘Nucks fans all moaning about Heiskanen, high sticks and bad refs in this game?
I will watch the game when I come home tonight.

I ended up zonking out while putting my kid to bed last night so I missed everything after the first period. But I was happy to wake up to a win! I texted my dad this morning that we clinched a spot in the playoffs. My birthday is coming up in a few weeks and he offered to buy me a playoff ticket as my birthday gift. So it looks like I’ll be coming to Dallas for a playoff game this year!

Thinking about how far we’ve come since the bankruptcy days just makes me happy.

I think 2nd is exactly where I wanna finish.

I don’t want the President’s Trophy. But I do want home ice in the west.

    My free talk is this

    1. Hak needs to be scratched for rest of season unless someone needs to come out. Nils-Suter is the second best +/- pairing behind Harley-Heiskanen.
    2. This team will only go as far as Otter and Defensive will take us. We will score goals but defensively, we have to play like last night and then we will have a run

  8. Was nice to wake up and see the boys got a win, got too tired to watch the third period. I think if they keep playing like they have been recently it’ll be a nice playoff run.

Loving how deep the offense is this year – at this point basically anyone could score and I just think « Yeah, that makes sense ». Feels good after how top heavy the team was for the past few years.

I went to 4 games this year, and in the first 3, they scored a total of 2 goals and never led for a second. I’m really glad I finally saw them win one this year! The Canucks are also one of my least favourite teams, so finally getting a win here after 4.5 years was great! Looks like I’ll only get to go to one game next year, so it’s also exciting that I don’t need to feel like I’m going to a scheduled loss when the Stars are here next year.

I also thought this was interesting to note: Otter’s save% against the Canucks in 2 games this season was .946 (53/56) and Demko’s save% against the Stars in 2 games this season was .937 (59/63). It’s really good to see that Otter is better here, and that he hasn’t been struggling against the Canucks like in previous years.

Debating on getting tickets to Edmonton. If all goes well I can make it right at pick drop. If I get held up at work/in traffic I’d probably miss the first. Do I risk missing the first or just wait until the St. Louis game where I can make it no problem?

It seems to me that other teams are more physically aggressive than we are. At emy observations correct? Could this pose a problem?
