Shut out with a 3-0 final, Matthews scores 60, 0/6 on power play, and the only fight all night was a brawl with half the team in Turks and Caicos and the other half in the Bahamas with Zach Benson the only one still in Buffalo because he cant afford a trip yet and has to house sit for Dahlin
If Adams doesn’t have the guts to fire the entire coaching staff he needs to be fired right along with them.

I’ll welcome the influx of downvotes with this but Moneypuck has the xGoals tonight 4-2 in our favor. We didn’t play a bad game, we just couldn’t capitalize on the chances we generated, and we did generate quite a bit. Incredibly frustrating but they ironically played better tonight than they did last night or against Calgary, both games they won.
Fuck the power play though, that shit sucks.

I get that fighting is all but gone from the game, but how do you have a line brawl where guys basically just dance with each other with maybe an occasional headlock for good measure. It was comical.

Definitely doesn’t matter anymore, but Caps lost in a shootout. Missing this year is especially painful given how bad the teams around them are closing out the season.

I can’t believe how horrendous our powerplay has been all season. This isn’t something that will just magically be better next season if something isn’t changed. Adams has to know that.

Look all joking aside, you have to actively TRY to be this consistently bad. Like I can’t say at what level the suck is being reinforced but at the very least I can say that, knowingly or not, Pegula/Adams/Granato/Ellis is making/allowing all the right moves to ensure this team remains in the same shitpit they all found it in. There is seemingly zero priority being put on genuinely improving this team at any level of the org. We all know the whole « insanity is the act of repeating the same action and expecting a different result » quote.
And so thusly I ask you, just what in that actual everloving choke-artistry fuck are you DOING, Buffalo?
Every year we miss the playoffs I think about all the things in my life I’ve accomplished in that time. Its partially comforting to know I’ve come far as a person, but also depressing to think that a professional sports franchise with 13 first round draft picks on their roster still hasn’t figured it out.
Is anyone defending Granato at this point besides Kevin Adams? The guy fucking sucks. The development, growing, hugs and kisses are over. Team needs someone that will chew their ass when they play like shit.

I try really hard to be positive, but Jesus Christ. Out of any other game out there THESE are the games this franchise needs to win every single time. 85% of your home arena is packed to the gills with the opposing team so not only do you lay up a bagel but you also let Matthews score his 60th?

Good luck getting half the building filled next season after slowly building up the attendance the last 2.5 years. We’re gonna be right back to 20-21 attendance levels where you can pay for a 300 level ticket for $20 off StubHub and sneak down to the 100s after the first period cause it’s wide open seating and minimal fan interest. I actually believed we turned a corner the last couple years with seeing locals kinda get back into the team again and want to go to games again but Pegula’s inaction has pissed all over that in favor of putting all their chips into the Bills being the kings of the AFC East for the next few years. What a shitty way to head into the playoffs / offseason with the state of this franchise.
Granato = pathetic excuses, self-serving rationalizations, weak explanations, clueless reasons, non-sense responses, expected cliches…go away please…

– Their fans overtake the stadium yet again cause the team isn’t good enough not to sell tickets

At this point you change coaches cause fans will be at their wits end with any down stretch next year even if the players like Granato.
So now we need:
– New coaching staff (I realize we’re probably only getting a new PP/assistant coach realistically)
– 3C
– Possibly a 2C
– A winger who can finish/score
– A gritty bottom 6 guy who can be a front net presence & also not let UPL and Dahlin get punched and ran into with no pushback (I thought this would be Greenway but guess not)

Sad how much they regressed, imagine this team’s record without UPL standing on his head, would be pretty grim. At least the goaltending has improved.
