I know people think « just have terrible goaltending until you’re done tanking and then sign a good goalie and be good » but goalies don’t grow on trees like people think they do. I’m happy to have a couple promising young ones in the NHL already and a top 5 prospect.

If the young defensemen continue to improve, if Kirby Dach, Josh Roy and maybe Mailloux can graduate to the show, we might be fighting for a playoff spot next year. Maybe even play the first round of playoffs.

This might be a hot take but overall I feel like the last few years, our goaltenders have kept us in games and haven’t been an issue, I’m glad that they get recognized a bit more as our defence improves

There are many things the Habs have been lacking in these past years (decades?), but we’ve been blessed with so many good/great/stellar goaltenders!
Also, interesting that there’s a trend of ‘top teams having the best GSA, bottom teams having the worst’, but here we are at #3!

Dallas at -15.9 is wild. Shows how dominate they are if they are still in first in the west while getting poor performances out of their goaltending.
