We miss Kadri so much. When an opposing goalie got hot, it was guaranteed that Kadri would knock him over a few times to get him off his game. WE need another player like that. The Mickey Redmond type who if a team was blocking a lot of shots would deliberately aim upper body at them until they stopped.

  2. Weird game, not a terrible first period, bounces didn’t go our way. This idea that our only problem is goaltending needs to end though, our defense is giving up too many quality chances.

  3. I mean lets be honest, during that 9 game win streak the avs robbed some teams like Vancouver and Pittsburgh and as far as im concerned this game is just "the powers that be" evening things out. like Montreal and Columbus flipped the script and robbed us this time. Its just how it goes sometimes imo.

  4. terrible , also how are we clinched , if we lost every game from this one and la and Nashville won we would be out of the playoffs , it makes no sense i knew way back we needed at lest 106 to clinch a spot even dallas on top could lose every game in this scenario and be out like da fuc kkinda math is the nhl doing

  5. I like to thanks the “AWESOME SAUCE” for these fantastic games I have been seeing the AVS play. AVS had an impressive 47 shots on goal with STUD players of Mackinnon, Rantanen, and Makar generously combined for 23 of those shots. That means 24 shots were taken by 9 players out of the rest of the team. So that means 6 players on the team decided to take a nap during the game. I call that true teamwork. Ahahaha The cannon was loved by both Marc Moser and Mark Rycroft the commentators over at Altitude Now . This game against the Blue Jackets are the games that Chris loves the most. And that is why the Awesome Sauce is working. Ahahahaha

  6. When it comes down to goal tending i have no faith in either of our keepers. Ive been worried about it all year not to mention our defense is no where near what is was during our cup run, personally i dont think we make it far again this year in the playoffs but I hope im wrong

  7. It seems that we're saying "Val Nichuskin would have made the difference in this game", too often. As much as I like his impact when he's playing I am having worries that being out of the lineup much too often might be the norm. I wasn't happy with the loss to Montreal at home and I am less happy with this loss. They were games the Avs should've won.

  8. To me it’s been this way the whole season , when the nice plays don’t work they just keep doing it, when you play that way for for half the game but if it doesn’t work simplify shoot at the net go for rebounds

  9. Sorry we just have weak, streaky goaltending. Fix that and we are contenders, without solid net work we are just pretenders

  10. Well I imagine they were playing cautiously before playoffs. Seems like they're fine with second seed. I'm pretty sure they were 50/50 cup year once they clinched. Don't get hurt, rest up. Last year we used up everything to get number one seed just to lose round one… Let's hope.

  11. TBH: I would prefer a 1st round matchup with Winnipeg instead of Nashville – Predators are going to do some physical damage in the 1st round, so let's stay healthy!!!

  12. Was hoping the final score was just a bad April fool’s joke… I am not sure why it feels like the Avs play DOWN to teams. I don’t understand what’s going on with that. They beat the preds and did great… but lose to the blue jackets? 🤦🏻‍♀️ I almost think the Georgie thing was an accident. I don’t think he intended for the puck to go into the stands. I’m all for showing some passion and emotion, but sometimes it feels like a tantrum. Gotta be careful with that. Still a playoff team… still have some good games left. Gotta figure it out boys.

  13. The hockey gods like to remind everyone that every team, even the crappy teams, has professional-level players on it, and no game is a given. They had, what, 47 shots on goal, but hardly any of them were in the 2nd when they needed to take control of the game. I agree that this is more of a "no big deal" than a true cause for concern, but there are issues. The celebrated defense still gives up too many chances, and goaltending is their Achilles' heel. Playoffs are going to be heartburn-inducing nailbiters. We'll see how far they can go. I think a LOT is going to depend on matchups.

  14. Look what happened to the AVS in the playoffs last year when they won the division. Look what happened to the Rangers! The Bruins! If the AVS come in 2nd or 3rd, it doesn't mean squat. This game was a fluke. Lamenting that this game is any indication of how they will play going forward is a waste of energy. Shrug your shoulders and move on…

  15. This is gonna sound uninformed as hell, but it looked to me like we didn't beat their goalie, not that we didn't beat the jackets.

  16. Know who else likes comebacks? Kim Kardashian [thanks Chris Pratt]….I'm getting tired of the fucking comebacks. If the Avs have all this offense THEN SCORE! And if they're not going to score THEN DEFEND! Stop being complete pussies and finish checks. That Avs team from last night wouldn't get past WPG in rd 1 and DEFINITELY wouldn't get past DAL in rd2 this year. Outshooting a team doesn't mean shit if none of them go in.

  17. Are they getting paid less for a game vs CBJ? No! So what I saw was just not good enough! If they are not excellent in excuses, they should hire you for that job. Wonder what excuses you have if they blow the first round again with pathetic hockey like last night?
