Still surprised Marners coming back this fast unless it wasnt really a high ankle sprain, Dreger as usual spewing bullshit that everyone just accepts as fact (Dreger and Paul Marners loser bromance is probably where he heard that)
Leafs should refuse PP opportunities until Mitch comes back. Easier on us to not see the other team get SH scoring chances.

Seeing how well we perform without some of our highest paid players is giving me a galaxy brain idea.
Every game healthy scratch at random one of the Five Guys in the playoffs. It’ll keep us fresh and on our toes, give the depth more opportunity to step up, and keep the opponent guessing and having to adapt to us instead of so often it being the other way around (and failing to do so)
We need all the help we can get, and dipping into this mystical reserve we seem to find when one of our best are only with us in spirit might be the key to a long run.

While it may seem like the go to in putting marner back in line 1. Based on the current chemistry happening, Id leave the matthews, domi, bert line the way it is. Domi does much better with fast skilled fancy type players like matthews. Berts good for grindin out pucks and netfront tap ins.
Marner L2 with tavares was awesome past years and then add willy to that. While we know marner works with matthews. He also works with tavares. Where i dunno if id say the same for domi. Putting domi 3rd line centre might be a waste of his skill or style of play in my opinion.
You will still have matthews with marner on the pp and if ya wanna stack a line for a shift.
