yeah, it’s a bummer and they’re on a bad run, but i love our cats and i’m hoping they pull out of this

  2. Democracy__Officer

Our Titanic has hit an iceberg and the deck chairs need rearranging

  3. FrostyPhilosophy7765

Never want to see kuli in a panthers jersey again

  4. Idk if they just ran out of gas from their playstyle all season being so aggressive and physical, and now it’s catching up with them up or what. But ohhh boy, they need to figure it out and do it quick, or they’re gonna drop to 3rd in the division at this rate

  5. I said this in the game thread but if we don’t win half of the remaining games, we are going to get boiled in the first round. Being so hot before the ASG is fools gold.

Even though I did also say the same thing this time last year when we had a bad spell, so what do I know…

There is no rational explanation for what we’re watching right now. The best team in the league doesn’t suddenly become the worst team in the league. However as it stands, we look like we’re done. I can’t see a team with guys like Tkachuk and Bennett and Ekblad throw in the towel like this. But if this continues to be the story all the way through the last game of the season I just don’t see how they magically turn it around.

Lost to the 6th worst team in the league, but I’ll be called a doomer for saying I’m worried. The last month has been absolute fucking garbage! Hope we can do better in the playoffs, home ice isn’t looking too hot at the pace we are losing…. The most fun team to watch has been seriously depressing lately.

  8. dontaskcuzidk

sometimes it feels like half the team forgot how to play hockey after asg weekend

  9. Emotional_Match8169

Ooof. That’s all I got these days.

Time for a players only meeting or something

Now that we established is not a Bobrovsky problem…something is not riding well with our defensive pairings. Either they are gassed, not working or what. Holy shit someone needs to give a speech to this team because they are playing depressive hockey, they look like they fulfilled their contractual obligations and are just there to not get sued

As my grandmother would say: oy, nebbuch.

I’m no expert and only played a couple of year of hockey, but I think the POMO’s experiment has failed. Changing up the lines every game, sometimes mid game, in hopes they find some synergy has done the complete opposite. We find a good line only to have the other 3 fall apart and create no offense. The passing is embarrassing. The defense lost the plot and our players are made out of glass. I watched the Checkers game the other day and the Panthers could take some advice from their minor league team on making a god damn pass.

And some give these guys some fucking Emergen-C or whatever it’s called. They stay sick.

This would be a good time for a players only meeting.

Coaches and front office can only do so much. The players have to come together and find a way to snap out of this. We are a week and a half from the postseason. This level of play cannot continue.

Can we just get Katie George or Jameson to ask Paul in the next post game whether or not we will see line combinations finalized by Boston like he said 3 games ago, or if that’s not going to happen.

  16. MultiLuigi57

Once again, all part of the plan. No panicking about this

Combination of issues. The best team in the league doesn’t just fall apart out of nowhere.

    1) Injuries/illness, missing top players and constantly having to juggle lines

    2) Nothing to play for

    3) Difficult schedule

    4) Knowing the Cup run will require our physically demanding forechecking style, which isn’t needed during meaningless games

    5) Poor puck management. Giving up breakaways, odd-man rushes, etc after being the best defensive team in the league.

I’m confident we’ll get through this. Just a shit storm of factors. This is still the same team from the first 60 games. I don’t like it either but this is not just a team falling apart out of nowhere.

    2-8 in last 10

    6-9 in last 15

Again, no other cup competitive team has this record except *checks notes* Philly…

  19. tomcat810

As a Dolphins fan this feeling is so familiar to me lol.

  20. CorruptedReaction

Everyone take a deep breath and consider the various injuries and illnesses that have plagued us over this last 10. Vegas had a stretch of 2-7-1 about 10 games ago and nobody with half a brain was thinking they weren’t still a legitimate contender for the cup.

  21. TTKDR743

My only fear is that, this time last year we had Paul in press conferences really starting to sound angry and critical and that seemed to light a fire under them right at the perfect time. Paul seemed to hint* at the idea of getting frustrated in today’s post game press conference but is still in the « we’re gonna be fine » phase that makes me worried about their fire prior to the playoffs.

  22. kaeruwa

I know that these are essentially meaningless games given that home ice doesn’t mean shit but I’m not sure we can go on a run without Ekblad out there tbh
