I love torts
The coach needed to take responsibility for the damaging insult’s he gave out. This season was with low expectations anyway and I know it seems like every year is a rebuilding year. What can you do?
The reality is finally hitting the coach, as well as us fans, that we simply don't have the talent to likely even make the playoffs this year. We've overachieved the entire season and now the bill is due.
I personally blame Carter Hart. We had a good thing going with Hart and Ersson. Our goaltending situation is in shambles right now and without steady netminders you're not going anywhere in this league.
I think we finally got the goalie that makes us better. Now when we outshoot teams we win!
Torts is a good coach no doubt about it. But he needs to realize his team had a BRUTAL schedule the last 3 weeks. Seems like almost every night they played a Stanley cup contender, and they COMPETED and gained more points during that stretch then I or anyone probably expected. This team lacks skill and superstardom so they have to play 110% percent effort every night to have a chance to win. I like torts but to say his team played soft and question half the teams character after an absolute horrific stretch of games is a bit much for me.
Torts cares people don’t get that
He believes there’s always more inside you that hasn’t been brought out yet
If I was a player I might not like how he delivered the message but I would understand what the message was. If I was honest with myself the overall team performance would not be acceptable to me as a player either. I would expect more out of myself too!
