   man, we own the Bruins in the playoffs since losing out to them the first time around. Almost a reverse of how Carolina dominates us after we beat them in our first playoff matchup together

   Nobody talks about 2001 probably because it’s a bitter pill to swallow as we had a chance to wrap up Game 6 at home and win what would’ve been back to back Cups. And then we lost Mogilny that summer to free agency and the idiot NYR signed Bobby Holik the following summer for $9 million per year lol and it looked like the end of our run.

   That’s what made 2003 extra special

   Didn’t that win halt something like a 6-game losing skid?  Going off memory here so don’t recall exactly.

   I remember watching that game live! November of that year on a long losing streak, they had lost like 6 or 7 straight. It finally felt like that was the game that finally woke them up. I had tickets to the next game (Devs Canes) and Elias scored in OT for b2b OT wins 😎 The nostalgia is hitting hard.
