I just like that Rutherford is more willing to accept that Petey hasn’t been up to standards than some of the fans on this sub.
So nice to have experience and class running the show. I could picture statues of Alvin & Rutherford outside of Rogers Arena one day. Possibly with a little plaque in the washroom for Jim Benning (he drafted EP40,QH43 and traded for JT)
Sounds like Dak is slightly more of a priority than Hronek. Just slightly.
Hronek’s last half of the season hasn’t been as good. There is a clear difference when he is with and without Hughes. I hope he realizes he’s in a good position to play with a generational defenceman who can make his job easier and pump up his numbers, so he doesn’t get too greedy. I can’t imagine paying him $8M a year.
I guess it’s more of an off season thing but as the meat of the OEL buyout starts in two years I’m curious how that impacts this summers free angency and rfa
Interesting take on Petey. Might have revealed too much. But for us, it’s something to work with that validates a lot of our speculations.
He’s still racking up points. To me, he’s either nursing a minor injury that can’t heal until off season rest, or something is going on mentally that I don’t want to speculate on because it isn’t my business to. I just hope he gets back to 100% sooner than later, and I really hope JR finds him a winger in the off season.
