This is exactly why the NHL is a garbage bush league. If they’re consistent about one thing when it comes to officiating, it’s that they’ll give teams heading to the playoffs all kinds of breaks.
If you’re betting on this, factor this in. Tampa needed this win. The Habs didn’t. The refs made sure the team that needed the win had the ice tilted their way.
That said, what a shame Xhekaj didn’t expect to be jumped. It would have been an epic beat down…
As Tampa’s star begins to wane and the Habs rise, I look forward to that Florida road trip. It’s going to be all kinds of fun.

First of all, Eyssimont is both blind and dumb. Xhekaj will not forget this. He'll have to keep his head up next time these two teams face each other again. Also, WTF is wrong with Stamkos. He had all the time in the world to get out of the way but plows right into Hagel anyway. Don't even try to tell me he didn't have the time to get out of the way. He was gliding towards Hagel for 2 whole seconds before he made contact.

Thank goodness for YouTube's 10-minute highlight packages. There is no way I'm giving up 3 hours of my day to watch a live hockey broadcast. The game and the refereeing have deteriorated so much over the years that I can no longer stomach watching NHL "hockey."
