Ce match était absolument fou… Le premier but de Kessels à Toronto, le but insensé de JVR, abandonnant l’avance comme c’était l’habitude cette saison-là, le centre-ville de Connor Brown nous donnant l’avance, McBackup volant Crosby et Matthews marquant 40. C’était un match spécial. nuit pour être fan. J’espère d’autres moments comme celui-ci dans les prochains mois.

Crazy how things have come full circle. I remember watching that game thinking “I wonder how Pittsburgh fans feel watching this game where their team is just playing spoiler”, and now the shoe’s on the other foot. Also a shame everyone remembers Gardiner’s own goal because that was his best year as a Leaf.
I jumped out of my seat watching this live. This was my favorite memory of the leafs, maybe just overtaken by Tavares winner last year. I’ve rewatched the last 5 minutes of this game on YouTube countless times. Years of watching awful leaf teams finally replaced by hope and then playoffs to watch.
