Wings should have been taking 35-40 shots for the month when they were losing their backsides. Please, Stevie Y, get rid of these rentals except Kane and Debrincat. And Lalonde needs to go back to remedial school on head coaching. That's no way to coach a team when you're 10 points ahead and a shoe in for the wildcard!!

We literally were the better team by a MILE. Caps got lucky they got completely bailed out by their goalie. We deserved that win. I’m so upset, but not at the wings. Just at the hockey gods I guess.
I don't get defending lyon. He had no shots to save and the two somewhat remote hard ones he let's in. I. Have no faith in him on any type of odd man rush or good chance. Hes just not it. Not blaming him but we shouldn't be defending him. That ovie goal was so so weak. He had no angle and Lyons cheating like he doesn't know ovie is gonna shoot
How about the refs choosing to not call 2 obvious penalties too? We could have tied it up with 2 more power play goals. The refs literally may have cost us the playoffs. And of course they yet again will not be held accountable. Oh yeah did anyone see the end of the rangers – islanders game? Blatant boarding against the rangers that wasn’t called which could have changed the outcome of that game which effects us as well

Bring up Sebastian Cossa next season, at least as a backup goalie for the Wings. Let him begin to get the experience to eventually become their No. 1 goalie.

That first goal the play was offsides by a mile!!! Great coaching lalonde!!! Play shouldve been blown dead!! Im done lalonde is a joke. Ur team shouldve been attacking net, screening the goalie, traffic in front of the net, deflections! We got none of that until 1 second left! Lalonde should have had his team doing that instead of shooting at his chest all night! Lalonde would be gone first thing in morning!
It’s bad luck, not so much bad play. Giving up the goals at the end of a period is unacceptable!
They did not check every box,they should have been attacking the net more. Traffic in front of lindgren. Screens, deflection shots. Thats what u have to do against a hot goaltender. And we didnt see it until 1 second left. And what happened when they did do it? They scored a goal. Thats what shouldve been done earlier! But lalonde didnt make the adjustment. And he missed the complete offsides on the 1st caps goal. Lalonde gots to go!

Everyone seems to forget that Lyon was a big reason we won against Buffalo. Issue is that right now we need consistency from him – I dunno, does he need to be worked more? Is it a concentration issue? Other point is that good teams find a way to win, go to a plan B or whatever. As others have said, if rebound control is an issue, drive the net, get a dirty goal, whatever. Problem is that Lalonde and the team don’t seem to have a plan B and there are no real clutch players at the moment either. Sure, we’ve had individuals play great here and there but I mean stepping up when it matters. Doesn’t help that Debrincat seems to have sleep walked since such a hot start.
So over this season. Caps are such a bad team. We drop 2 against them. I’m pretty fkin annoyed. We wouldn’t even be here if we didn’t blow 7 STRAIGHT games in March. Just two win and this wouldn’t sting as bad. I’ll have a bad taste in my mouth for a long time.
Lelonde doesn't put debrincat on the pp at the left side like the beginning of the year..Instead he puts perron. And why with 10 min left were we not double shifting our best players?? We run out veleno and czarnik..
This team needs to get better with this roster doomed
Two items:
1) If the Red Wings want to make the playoffs they need to go 4-0 their last 4 games. Anything less, no playoffs
2) If one person is to blame for the team’s collapse, don’t mention Petry or Lalonde. Without any question, the blame falls on ALEX DEBRINCAT – PERIOD
It wasn't Lindgren that made the difference it was the lack of capitalizing on the wing's many chances to score… Lindgren has been 0-6 in his last 6 games with a save percentage of 874 in this span.. again the wing's lack of ability to bury the puck is killing them
On the pressure before the first goal, Ghost had 3 chances to clear the puck and could not get it out. Plus, has more ice time than any other D-man and had many turn-overs. Mo loses an edge and the best goal scorer in the past 25 years scores. Our offense is no where to be seen. No net presence. Changes have to come.
The bottom line is your big gun's gotta score when they are not producing your just doomed.. Fisher messed a wide open net and shot it wide..why is he still here
