Comment ce type n’a-t-il jamais franchi la barre des 20 buts ?!

How did he not? Easy guy was born 10 years too early.

He was made of glass, just absolutely injury prone. But in todays nhl he would absolutely be ridiculous for buffalo.

  2. I guess he never became the Mayor of Appletown like that Jason guy.

Great reel, though. Absolutely slick hands.

Even retired guys get the chiclets bump

I watched him score an OT goal in the twilight of his career when he played for the Leafs. I think the game was in Edmonton, was pretty awesome. Dude was a great player and if he played today (and stayed healthy) he likely would have scored a lot more.

Was one of the best point man on power plays ever

That goal in game 1 vs Senators where he sends Alfredsson (I think) crashing into the boards is pure class.

This is one of the reasons Buffalo was so good. I never knew who this was. Buffalo was just a team of sort of not really that big of stars, but just great depth they always did well, and had no superstars. And if your depth has little unknown players like this guy, no wonder you do well consistently.

I wonder what his downside was. Perhaps he was just too offensive and burned hard and fast, and then sizzled, and was a bit of a defensive liability.

This was a collection of successful dekes. I’m sure he had a lot of failures also.

I was super excited when we(Toronto) got TC at the time. I know he was on a bit of a downturn at the time but I thought we could revitalize him. Instead he was a disappointment. Dude did have some of the softest hands though.

They guy was a huge talent, but he was made of papier maché or he just didnt have the drive to be truly great.
