Les Coyotes sont-ils sur le point de déménager dans l’Utah ?

D’accord, je sais que j’ai fait une vidéo sur les Coyotes il n’y a pas si longtemps, mais la situation est fluide et voici la dernière. 1. Not only has he lost money running the team but he then loses the license to run a sports book in arizona since he will no longer own a sports team. I hope the move happens fast, franchise has had almost 25 years to get it together and nothing good has happened. Jets 1.0 needed time for owner to get money for the team and arena and Bettman basically gave them the finger and the team was gone. Hockey market or not the same should have happened here years ago

  2. What I would do if I was the NHL and was willing to do something as Crazy as Laundering the Franchise like this and hear me out because this idea isn't super farfetched if you look at the Franchiese Laundering.

NHL Buys Coyotes, NHL Discusses with Chipman of Winnipeg to Trade ALL Winnipeg Players, Coaches, Staff, etc etc to Arizona for All Arizona Players Coaches Staff etc etc
NHL Trades Ownership of the Coyotes to Chipman for Ownership of the Jets Then Moves the Jets to Salt Lake City and Chipman puts the Coyotes back into Winnipeg as the jets.
Salt Lake Renames the former Thrashers/Jets2.0 to something else, No players move, No Staff Moves, No team technically moves except arizone but Winnipeg gets the original jets back
Renamed back to the Jets, with all their History and records as Jets 1.0 restored to the Jets and we're all good.

Salt Lake gets its team, The coyotes come home to where they should never have left, and Everyone is happy, Bettman, League, Chipman, Maruello, Salt Lake Etc etc.

  3. Can we please just end this saga already? Arizona has rejected this team like a bad organ for damn near 30 years. I'm sorry to the couple thousand fans that are gonna have their hearts ripped out, but the experiment has failed.

  4. been saying it for 12 to 15 years. if phoenix didnt want them and arizona didnt want them, they can go to a city or state that wants them. houston, salt lake city, atlanta, etc are all good markets that could host a nhl franchise. bettman and his stubborness have kept the franchise anchored in place. there may be a demand for a franchise in arizona in the future, but the stadium/home for the team has been a mess for 20 years now.

  5. The year is 2112, After the 10h failed attempt to have a team in Atlanta the NHL Finally gives in and moves the failing Atlanta Peaches to Quebec to give people the Nordiques back
The previous 9 Atlanta teams are now Located in Calgary, Winnipeg, Hartford, Kansas, Cleveland, Huston, Portland, Honalulu, and New Orleans (Betman III thought Giving a team to New Orleans would satisfy french speakers and get the Quebecois off their back)

  6. lol that open face sigh and the “ookayyy” 😂 never change Shannon. And thanks for keeping up with all this Yotes will they and wont they stuff for all these years!!!

  7. The extra profit going to the league is likely the payment for this expansion team discounted for ending the arena debacle in Arizona. So I’d guess he won’t have to pay the expansion fee.

  8. Shitty part is if the Yotes almost 30 years back had a Great home that was just theirs, on the East Side of the Valley, which has a higher population and more money than the West Side. And had decent ownership and front ends (Tampa, Vegas, Carolina as great examples of Sun belt teams with great front offices) from the beginning this wouldn’t be an issue but alas here we are 😢

  9. Phoenix is just not a hockey town, apparently. The mayor basically said as much when discussing his desire to get behind a satisfactory arena for an NHL team. I don’t know why, but there is something satisfying when bad things happen in Arizona…😂 Maybe it’s just all the miserable old people I see getting on the Allegiant flights to Mesa.

  10. I'm of two minds on this. As a hockey fan in Utah, I'm excited and I'm hopeful I can build a whole channel around it. As a hockey fan above all else, I feel awful any time a good fanbase like the one in Arizona gets screwed over by external forces like ownership and government. (That's also why I'm always super open-minded about the NHL going back into markets that didn't work out previously. It's rarely the fans' fault.)

Edit: Utah has a BIG problem with players not wanting to play for the Jazz, and it's been an issue for a long time. (Google "NBA Salt Lake Nightlife" about it.) However, I don't think it would be that much of a problem for hockey players as it is with basketball players.

  11. As an Arizona resident and fan of the yotes since 1996. If the coyotes are forced to leave I am done with the NHL wait for the auction if it doesn't work fine. But as a fan I just don't have it in me to follow the team if they move or follow a new team if they get an expansion after moving. It took a long time for the coyotes to get the right people in place (owner, gm, coach, scouting dept, etc) and we went through lean years and I watched and cheered for them all the way. Now that the future on the ice is starting to look like it could be good for years to come, they take it away. Sorry. I can't put myself through it. If the yotes move I will never watch another NHL game again. I haven't watched other sports for 4-6 years because of stupid things the other major pro leagues have done for the better part of a decade. The NHL stayed away from the traps and gave me my escape. The coyotes are and will always be my team. But a team is made up of players. And I have followed the players on the coyotes since Shane Doan was too young to drink. The announcers and team in general do a great job of making the fans feel like they are a part of the coyotes family. You can't replace a family. Sure new members can be added to the family (birth/draft) and some move away for other opportunities (trades), but if they take them away, then it will feel as if I lost my family.

  12. Exactly what I was thinking. Ryan Smith, defenseman from the Oilers is going to own Utah? Wow. I did not know he was so wealthy!

  13. Listen, I don’t want them to move to SLC. I was born in Hill AFB (practically SLC) and I don’t need to root for a team that struggles this much.

  14. unrelated but i remember that felt banner on the board! it came with mini banners of all the other teams at the time!

  15. If you move a team you might as well rebrand so that new city gets its own identity on the team.

  16. The Jets name had a lot of baggage too, but we here in Winnipeg were very eager to get that name back, as the name has always been ours as a community.

  17. Is this whole "laundering" process happening because the owners have been giving a portion of their profits to the Yotes for the last decade to keep them afloat. This being a way they can recoup what they donated to this struggling franchise. That's what makes the most sense to me

  18. Nice that Josh Doan got in this season and scored a few goals in a Yotes jersey before they are moved
