Where was the hand pass? You’re allowed to stop the puck where you are at if it’s above waist level in the offensive zone as long as you drop it on the ice and don’t throw it.

He cried all night. The refs were on his side, basically the entire game, including blowing the whistle because Crosby was on the ice. What a baby. This video is also a horrible take on the game. Not a good youtuber

as to why crosby wasn't on to start OT – still getting the skate fixed (according to staff). Malking probably wasnt on to start because Eller had a higher chance of winning the face off, pens just never got a change. Crosby was also pissed because of how LATE the hand pass was called, several seconds after play had continued and toronto players whined for a call.

USA Hockey ref here. I've missed a call just like this. I saw the puck come a from kids hand in a downward motion to the ice, but based on my angle to the play I never saw this stick touch the puck and I ruled it a hand pass. I went back and watched the footage after the game and he clearly got the stick on the puck after he batted the puck to the ice. It makes me feel somewhat less bad when I see the professional refs have something similar happen to them. Luckily for me the coach of the team affected in my game was slightly less angry with me than Crosby with the officials in that game lol
Just like when players get upset when they miss a shot or turnover the puck or make any mistake refs and take pride in their work and hate missing calls as well. Most refs are truly trying to call a perfect game and make no mistakes or miss anything just like the players never don't purpose screw up as well.

Still no clue where Eller's head was in OT, absolutely brutal way to lose a crucial point there.. but we all know Sid is an animal in do or die mode rn, Pens are still very much in this race. These last four games are going to be an absolute war in the East…
