We’re going to get throttled if the boys don’t get it together

If winnipeg somehow beats colorado and we can at least play 75% similar to last years playoff team… we shouldnt lose to the conference final LOL

I’m pretty sure that doesn’t mean we’ve clinched. According to the standings I’ve seen, there are only 6 teams that have clinched their post season: Boston, Florida, Toronto, Tampa, NYR, and Carolina. That bracket is based off standings if the playoffs started today. There is still a chance, albeit incredibly small, that Vegas doesn’t clinch. I think it’s also mathematically possible that they would face someone else in round 1, but I haven’t seen the math on that since last week. It’s not just about the points we get or don’t get, the outcome of other matches influence where we end up.

–edit as u/The_Stank__ kindly pointed out, I only listed the teams who had clinched for one conference (and not ours. d’oh!). There are 6 teams in each conference who have clinched. The others are: Stars, Avs, Jets, Preds, Canucks, and Oilers.

If the playoffs started today, which they don’t, so it’s stupid to even talk about, but if they did, this would be the bracket. It’s beyond sad that the defending champs are fighting for the final spot.
