The best part about the game was ironically after the flyers scored, the Philly broadcast briefly cut to Simmonds’ suite and he wasn’t even watching, he was in some conversation with someone and not even looking at the play, and they just immediately cut to a different camera.
Absolutely boring game.
I know some might disagree, but for me that was definitely one of the games of the 23-24 season. Nico was there, and so was Jesper, and also the rest of the team. And beyond that, you absolutely cannot deny that ice hockey was the sport in question.
Similar to the first 10 or so games, the puck moved with great velocity and the players on both teams attempted to control it with their sticks, which can be exciting. On a positive note, each player wore both of his skates, which I hope we can see again in the final game and into next season.
All in all, this was an event that occurred and I look forward to other, different events in the future.
Felt like a quiet and peaceful ending to our road journeys, and one more to bring a sad and annoying season to a close.
Hoping that Dougie and Jack are making great progress on their rehabs as we need them fit and healthy for their summer fitness programs.
