    Yeah if he’s the head coach next season I think I’m finally jumping ship. This bum absolutely has done done nothing to warrant being one of the longest tenured coaches in the NHL.

    This isn’t even a setback of one season. When Don gets fired next season they’re just going to promote Ellis and let him run it down the stretch. Whatever coach they bring in after that is going to have to fix years of mismanagement.

    The doomers won, it’s a hockey apocalypse.

  23. This thread is neck deep in dooming. Maybe another coach could extract a few more wins. Who is that coach and are they even willing to come here and/or Terry pay more coaching contracts?

    Either way doesnt matter, its not in the cards now. Youngest team in the league. If one or either of Cozens, Tage or Quinn don’t receive long term injuries, Sabres are in the playoffs. 🤷

    NHL coaches do not matter nearly as much as everyone makes them out to. There are a handful of difference makers, good and bad, but they’re in the vast minority. Most NHL coaches are just fine and are a product of their rosters.

    It’s way more important to improve the roster than to change the head coach next season. I don’t really care either way if Granato is the coach heading into next year. But no coach is gonna make things better if there are still only five top-6 forwards on the roster next season.
