    The Flames eventually found a way to make Johnny Gaudreau an effective player, there's no reason to believe that they cannot do that with Kusmenko as well. Already so many people are saying trade him away for a 1st rounder that may or may not turn into an 80 or 90 pt player in 4 or 5 years ? All while a Gift dropped on your doorstep and is a prolific NHL goal scorer already !
    I would like to see a full season under Huska's guidance to properly evaluate what he truly is or is not ……..

    Kuzmenko sucks and is the exact kind of player, like Sharangovich, who has no place in a winning team. He can put up empty points on bad teams but doesn't help teams win. Pump and dump this loser.

    How many games did the Flames lose by one goal while unable to score on the powerplay (dismally) ?
    Enough to have squeeked into the playoffs?
    They had a disgraceful powerplay until Kuzmenko showed up and lit a fire under it.
    The powerplay was just a game of moving the puck around the outside until time ran out. Kuzmenko has brought an attack mentality and has turned the powerplay completely around.
    How many games would that have won if the powerplay had scored in those close games that were lost?
    That alone is worth signing Kuzmenko, plus he is making noises like he is willing to commit to the team overall which Tochet eliminated from his mindset in Vancouver.
    I like Tochet but that is his style and it works for him.
    Keep Kuzmenko and guage his commitment early next season
    On a line with Kadri he will have no choice but to improve his game,,, or else.
