  1. Man time flys. I still remember how disappointed I was to see my Winnipeg Jets move there. My heart goes out to the true Arizona hockey fans. Cheers.

  2. If they didn't care before this, then why do they pretend now? Support your team! Always!

  3. Hopefully the Coyotes 2.0 will be back sooner than the Jets 2.0 were. As a kid I cheered on the Coyotes with a heavy heart after the Jets moved.

  4. I remember going to a game in 2007, it’s was vs the Ducks. And there were more Anaheim fans in the building. ANAHIEM FANS!!!!…. It was at that point I knew this franchise was doomed to fail eventually.

  5. Regardless of view it's sad when a city loses a sports team. The Coyotes had a long 28 year run. But politics and business issues finally caught up to the team. My heart felt condolences to the team and it's fans.

  6. This is hard, but not nearly as hard as when the Nordiques left Qubec to move to Colorado and then promptly winning the cup. I actually got hit in the feels for Nordique fans that year.

  7. That franchise has been there longer than they were in Winnipeg.

They won only 2 playoff rounds (both in the same year) and 1 qualifying round in that time span.

Some franchises just have so much trouble year over year.

Just look at the Panthers between their two Stanley Cup runs.

  8. I wish the coyotes the best I hope that in the new place they are in, they will do better

  9. Look here,
When it comes to a pro sports franchise owner demanding money for a new venue, you better bring some championships to the table or GTFOH. These fans were no-shows for s reason and it take some brass "pucks" to make demands. (Enjoy Utah)

  10. What are they crying about? Their arena was never full and their organization is a money pit. Its in fact the fans fault why they are leaving Arizona.

  11. Such a good sport. Love Coyotes fans. I don’t even live close but I miss it. I feel your pain.

  12. Thank you Arizona..thank you coyotes for showing me, after i had forgotten that an NHL team cam become part of the family.

  13. Isn't it a bit ironic that both father and son Doan have relocated with the same franchise after their first season?

  14. And you don’t have the AZ announcers with the last game ever?!???
    Gonna miss ya guys!! Thanks

  15. as an arizona native. im so happy this team is gone. such a stain on our great state. dont ever come back.

  16. Let's call it what it is. There's probably a small but passionate fan base in Arizona. A few thousand probably. Not enough to keep a professional team alive

  17. Where were these jerks when the team needed them; now they fill up the arena when its too little too late. Hypocrites

  18. I think this is just a sign of what's happening in Arizona period. I'm 46 now but when I was a little kid like from birth until about 10 years old I lived in Tempe, Arizona. It was really a beautiful place. I had an older brother that moved back after our family moved to New Jersey. I used to go back every year or two to visit and I could slowly see the entire area turning worse and worse. Areas that used to have clean open streets now have homeless encampments with junkies all over the place. It's been swarmed by illegal immigrants also. You can even go on Google maps if you want and look at the street view and then go back to previous dates and see how the area went from being nice to turning horrible. There's also drugs and street prostitution all over the Phoenix area. It used to be a great place to raise a family but now the major Metro areas of Arizona are turning into hell holes like New York City and Chicago and LA. It's sad to see the Coyotes go but I'll tell you what, Arizona has a lot more problems than losing a hockey team.

  19. Here’s hoping Arizona gets a new team with new ownership and a full size arena as soon as possible.

  20. I’m going to miss seeing that unique logo in the box score. What a way to go out in front of the home town crowd.

  21. Sad ending to a team that should have had a forever home in Phoenix. But they will be welcomed with great support in Salt Lake City
