If the NHL wants to know why the average fan is over 50, they can thank themselves.
Growing up in the 80’s every kid went to see the Oilers.
They have a right to make money but they are killing themselves in the long run. Those kids became grown ups who sold out the building during the decade of darkness. How many kids get to see the Oilers now?
Then again as a society we are cutting funding to healthcare and education. So I guess « f them kids » is now our society’s motto.

Are these for playoff tix?
Seems low to me.
I priced out a ticket to see the Oil at Coyote game tomorrow, and “nope, not gonna pay more for a ticket than I paid in 2006 for a stanley cup final game”
Stainlesssteele
Ridiculous. They’re 100 bucks more than last year. The face value is a complete rip off this year. Katz must be looking to buy another LA mansion
LoanedWolf75
Way too pricey for something you risk leaving unhappy from. Hahaha.
AssistDifferent8179
These were round 3 prices last year. Crazy
enricohenryhank
Something doesn’t add up here. There’s no scenario where we play game 3 in Edmonton for round 1.
ShmuckNuts
Fansfirst.ca has some for around $265 if you want a cheaper option
SadAcanthocephala521
That’s not bad actually.
thedopesteez
I waited in line early to grab the cheapest 4 tix humanly possible for any game. Ended up getting 4 side by side for $233/each, row 8 upper bowl in the corner.
I could have scooped singles under $200 or pairs under $225 so overall prices weren’t totally absurd. We’ll see what happens if we get to rd 2, 3, etc etc…
SadAcanthocephala521
Cue the folks bitching about a case in basic economics of supply and demand.
Razzamatazz14
“Thank you for supporting the team all year, especially at the start there. Boy, that was something, eh? Now if you don’t mind, could you spread those cheeks a bit for us? Makes it a smidge easier when we’re not using lube.”
leaps-n-bounds
Tickets in la right now $80 usd lol.
87CSD
Club prices for round 1 now are what they used to be for the final round about 5-6 years ago. Round 1 used to be about $350, now they are $600+ COST (not retail price).
LOL get fucked OEG. I’ll gladly watch every single game from the comfort of my own home.
Assmonkey69er
Holy fuck. I have season seats. Lower bowls are $280 per seat in my section. Looks like they repopped it for general. May be selling some games so keep an eye out.
greendino71
Outdoor watch party for me
Get to go with mutluple friends and get shittered with food for less than $100
pm_me_your_bigtiddys
Does anyone have a rough idea of when the games will be played? Is Edmonton playing at home first game? I got tickets for the second home game but forgot I’ll be working out of town May 3rd. Do you think the game will be before then?
cookiecookjuicyjuice
Stupid

Life hack: volunteer to sell 50/50 tix and you get in for free. I start this weekend.
rinotz
And the arena will still be full, and they know it. It’s unfortunate, but this is just a business for management and ownership, they don’t give a fuck about any of us, they just pretend they do sometimes so that we keep coming.
oddspellingofPhreid
Genuinely so annoyed that they built this fancy new arena, the third newest arena in the league, and it isn’t even top-15 in capacity.
Obviously premium seating is more profitable, but it feels like a kick to the nuts of loyal fans.
WorkThrowaway91
Do the oilers not get home ice advantage? So we’d be away game 3 or am I missing something
xTomato72
Excited to go to the Moss Pit for the first time
spitfire411
I didn’t see any advertising for when the tickets went on sale? There are still a few available now but it would have been good to get on when they were released.
poolside123
Ours in Vancouver are a little more. Start at $329.64 cuz they’re all sold out. Those are the resale prices.
PapaAsmodeus
I got mine for $220. Mind you, it hasn’t been lost on me how lucky that was.
Complex-Ad-5907
I got tickets to Vancouver game 1, lower bowl for 436. It’s outrageous prices but I’ve never seen a playoff game live and it’s the first one in Vancouver since like 2015 so the atmosphere will be electric and exciting.
kentuckyfriedchocobo
Just not worth it at all for most people.
Don’t let your impulsive side get you in massive credit card debt you’ll regret later.
tomboski
Now realizing I’ll never be able to take my boy to a playoff game like my dad did for me. That’s fun.
gordonbombae2
Lower bowl makes sense yea
geekymama
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they’ll eventually play Colorado since that’s only an 8 hour drive from here. I wanna go to a game so bad!
Extra-Wasabi-8639
Last year when they went on sale I had click as fast as possible just to get any asile seats in the lower bowl. This year 5 hours after the release theres still a lot of tickets in the lower bowl and sports net club. The clubs seats when up over $100 each and the sports clubs are $150 more.
Phiko73
Is anyone really surprised? This club is routinely advertising clothing and merch for INSANE prices.
T-Shirts for $65. Hoodies for $115. Hats for $60. And these don’t even come close to what a jersey runs you now.
I think for most fans this reality is just disappointing. We are all HUGE supporters of this club, and the playoff experience is something that everyone should have a chance to enjoy. But these prices make sure to keep you at home or somewhere else in the community instead. They don’t make me want to sacrifice two weeks worth of groceries for my entire family just for two of us to attend.
Back in ’06, I was paying $60-$70 a seat for the upper bowl in the SCF. Now, we have a fancy new arena that we’re all paying for, and a billionaire’s pockets to line with the concession and merch sale profits. Not to mention inflation. It’s a tough time to be an Oilers fan desperate to be part of the fun at Rogers
MGarroz
I’ve got tickets in 207. Not sure if I can advertise price or that I’m selling on here, but DM me if interested
Soultampered
Imagine paying $694 for a hockey ticket and your team loses.
these prices are out of control
bearkin1
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but it’s a waste of money going to rich people’s pockets. Exorbitant prices for a product where the majority of the people who do the majority of the work take home minimum wage, and all the price raises go right to the owners. No, it’s not inflation. No, it’s not paying their workers more. We pay more for the owners to make more, that’s it.
$300 was the price of Round 1 Game 1 front row (at the glass) tickets against the Kings last year. $323 for upper bowl? They can derelick my balls.
PatRehnandStimpy
2 years ago, they were more affordable and I was able to buy tickets to the entire LA series. The team seen what people were paying for secondary market tickets and made that their new price point. There is no limit to their greed.
MissTwistedx
I found some for 244 right at 10 this morning.. my sister and I paid 252 for resale round 2, game 3 tickets last year. The fact that these tickets aren’t even resale and round 1 is almost the same as round 2 resale last year is BONKERS. Safe to say I won’t be making the trip for a playoff game this year.
Side note.. anyone know what the ice district watch party entry was worth last year?
akaramon
Looking at this from US and converting CAD to USD. Good time to come up for game. Its like almost a 30% discount after the conversion. Very tempting. Would love be at a game with my fellow Oilers fans. I came up for Game 5 two years ago (OT loss to LA) and the energy was incredible. Will see how the first couple of games play out.
pepesilvia_lives
Fuck ticketmaster
CharlotteRitter
Yep, and that’s because they know people will buy it. They charge what they think people will be willing to pay.
I’ll be sticking to going to the watch parties for away games.. 5-10 bucks is far better.
LOIL99
I mean these would have been scalper prices anyways. Oilers just cutting it the middleman and I can’t blame them.
deschamps93
Craziest part is… Their costs go down in the playoffs as they don’t even have to pay the players
perpetualiridescence
Was about to buy tickets and then I remembered everytime I’ve seen a game at Rogers, we lost.
redwings_96
I paid 850$ for game 2. Section 127, 2 seats. These were like 550$ last year.
pdcolemanjr
Still all cheaper than a ticket to see them playing in Phoenix tomorrow night.
TheFadeTV
It’s almost always cheaper to just buy on tickpick or gametime 10 minutes before the game starts. Got lower bowl against Vegas for 130 USD
