Perhaps he will epic comeback like suzukis squad did in Guelph

Someone mentioned in another post that he looked average. Can he look average while simultaneously lead his team in points? 14 apples in 9 games sounds like solid playmaker potential

Not a habs fan but going to the game tonight. He doesn’t stand out, but he’s consistent

Did Mesar and Slaf ever played together?

People have been shitting on this kid all season long to with the average/subpar/disappointing comments.

I feel like if anything, he’s perfectly on pace with where he should be and I’m glad it seems like they’re letting him take a slower and steadier development route. Excited to see him at camp next year

Un but en 9 matchs! WOWOWOW! Impensable!

I think he needs adult hockey. From what I have read, I feel like he is a little bit disappointed playing in the juniors. He was already playing with men two seasons ago, and then Montreal decided that the best path was to play with juniors. First, he is used to a slightly different type of play among seniors. In senior hockey, you learn to be more cautious, avoid what doesn’t work, and make different plays because senior hockey players have different minds. I know that I also play a bit worse if I think my opponent is worse and vice versa. He needs challenges and is stuck in the juniors.

Everyone expects him to tear the league… but that works if your trajectory is upward and you go from junior to seniors. Imagine that you get downgraded in your work, would you perform great ? Probably not. Just give him that fucking AHL spot, because OHL is killing him.

tldr: I think Montreal made a mistake to send him to OHL for his development

My hope for Mesar is that he becomes a decent 3rd liner. Dont have too much hopes for a late 1st rounder.

Very curious to see how he will measure up in Laval. Honestly a bit disappointed so far for a 1st rounder but hopefully he can prove me wrong.

Boy howdy does the future ever look bright

If his team is eliminated and Rocket makes PO, can Mesar join Rocket ?
    Same question for Beck.

I really don’t understand people who are talking like 2 season that mesar is bust is crazy he played 2 season in Slovak 1. Adult league and they game him 2 years in juniors for what ? To have 200 points or he is bust ? He should be on 1 or 2 line in laval this full year and also Beck they are 20 don’t want them to play junior hockey….not even talking about context on Mesar season when he was 2 points per game then one of the Best players on juniors then Šale was traded to kitchener a mesar went from 1 line winger to 2. Line center and have more defensive work on him, not even talking that he had concusion..

Scoring at 1.67 ppg. In his D+2 year Suzuki scored at 1.75 ppg and everyone thought that was fantastic, so this is fine by me. He’s also got 1.55 assists per game compared to Suzuki’s 1.08 at the time. Not too shabby.
