Going 10-15 in their last 25 is what cost them a chance at a playoff. Not one call in a game they didn’t play in.
This is what happens when you place your fate in someone else's hands. Win games and make the playoffs directly. It's pretty simple.
Refs made a mistake, but interestingly, the goal may have counted if it hadn't come down and hit a Flyer before going in on continuation. Still sucks, but whistle causes the players to stop playing. Review isn't going to help other than determining when the whistle blew.
Sorry Doug, the Wings cost themselves that playoff spot. Can’t listen to lame excuses.
