  1. This team will be in the playoffs next season. Now they know the feeling of the meaningful games and will only motivate them for next season. Love Torts and everything he has done for the Flyers. See you next season.

  2. Torts must be held accountable for his many mistakes. The year long poor power play and 3 on 3 results is a coaching issue. With Torts vision, I suspect it was like placing a square peg in a round hole without player input and proper use of players. Add in Torts unfairness and intimidation towards players and I am afraid the atmosphere is not right for the development of skilled players. He talks change but uses the same old antics.
It appears that Torts is doing everything to make it about himself. He set the bar low and is now taking credit for the success. Its only natural that a young team will improve regardless of the coach. It is more likely that Torts has held the team back with his antics and his poor coaching decisions.

  3. I hope one of the things Torts changes is being so brutally honest in media interviews about his players performance, sometimes he gets mad and says things he shouldn't imo

  4. Mr TOUGH GUY failed at the end like he always does. He has one Corrupt Cup to his TOUGH GUY resume.

  5. This team is on a good direction. Torts said last summer this season will be painful to watch. We exceed those expectations.

  6. 5 and 12 since he wouldn't leave the bench. He says the same thing at every final presser. The old fart is done. It's past his bedtime.

  7. Losing Hart was crucial. Ersson was good, but slumped at the worst possible time. Also, trading Walker and injuries to Sealer and Drysdale contributed to the losing streak.

  8. He got everything out from that roster. Say what you want about his style to coach but he gets everything out from players. Yes, he crosses the line sometimes but he always cares for the team.

  9. If Briere and Jones can draft well and bring in and develop some high end skill players, Torts will win more games behind the bench.

  10. I love Tort's, and I'm glad the front office has confidence in his abilities to coach this team. Will get on people's nerves, yes, he will, but when we see players excel under his direction that's what a good coach does. To the people who call him egotistical etc. I have to say they're wrong in their assessment. John Tortorella does everything he can to make this team better. He took a "starless" team this year to nearly making the playoffs. He did that by using the younger players to run with the ball. He's a damn good coach, and we are lucky to have him at the head of the Flyers coaching staff.

  11. He is such coach, you guys are so lucky to have him. Do not get rid of him once you get talented, he deserves to get a fair chance at another cup. Wait till you see him coach a playoff game as a tactician, a thing of beauty. You will see….

  12. As good as Torts did this year, this team needs one or two more impact players. Frost improved, but still wilts in tough areas. We need a good puck handling play making center. That would help the pp and overtime.

  13. Absolutely great season. The team grew a lot, and the coach along with management learned alot about the players. Of course playoffs woukd have been nice and not getting a highest end draftpick and the 8 game loosing streak hurts but so much to be happy for. I coukd actually watch them play this year and be confident that it woukd always be a game and just not absolute pathetic play. Im excited. We already will be a different team again next year. We're still a ways away before we're feeling like a complete team and in playoffs consistently. Let's Go Flyers!!!
