Norm changed the name from North Stars to Stars the last season before they left in the middle of the night to Dallas. I have a commemorative Stars puck from the organization being a season ticket holder.
Yous guys should become Wisconsin Badger fans. And thank you for Mike Hastings and the other MN coaches who helped Bucky win more National Championships than Goofy! Also, I agree Dallas should be forced to re-brand, MN takes the North Stars back, and Milwaukee gets an expansion team and becomes the Wisconsin Wild! One can dream
The Wild are the team now. Norm Green does still suck. These don’t need to be mutually exclusive.

I had to smile a little when you talked about North Dakota. I am from NW Minnesota and in the 50's and 60's there was no other team than ND as far as I was concerned. We didn't have a twin city station to watch so knew very little about the Gophers. Heck, our home town team would play games against ND's b squad (i think that's what they were). So even after I got to know about Gopher hockey, they had a soft spot in my heart. Guess they always will.
