    All these team names sound awful but they always do. The Kraken sounded stupid, the Golden Knights sounded stupid. But you hear it enough and you get used to it and then it no longer sounds stupid after a period of time. I feel Utah will be no different regardless of what they choose.

    Outlaws is my favorite so far but seems more fitting for a minor league ball team. Don’t like the mythical creature name like Yetis. At this point to me the best bet is pick an animal or something geographic from the state and run with it. Moose, Elk, Otters etc. or something to do with the mountains. Utah Black Diamonds.

    If there wasn’t already a basketball team called the Raptors, it would be a perfect name. The state dinosaur is the Utahraptor.
