Watched the game on and off throughout its entirety. Based on what I saw, seems like the Leafs looked lost, nervous, and tired.
It’s only game 1, they lost, it is what it is, move on from it and start thinking about game 2.

All I keep hearing is that this team missed on the details of the game and careless when it came to penalties. Thats a coaching issue, one of his responsibilities is to keep this team focused. why am I not surprised once again Kiefe is out coached and out classed. Also the same playoff demons are starting to show. If Mariner is unwilling to take a hit to make plays, if I see him turn back once he gains the zone and make a low percentage pass I'm gonna scream. This team did some good things. When this team skates Boston had trouble with the leafs speed. But all that is for not if they're unwilling to go to the dirty areas of the ice. Throwing the puck at the net from the side wall should not be a strategy. That's perimeter hockey, a losing strategy. that's what the experts mean when talking about team toughness in playoff hockey. Doing the very thing that's teams aren't prepared for. Its just to bad Kiefe can't get these guys to buy in.

What I dislike the most about this team is they had 82 games to clean up their sloppy play. They have had bad defense all season, turned the puck over too many times in the neutral zone, and goal tending has been average at best most games. None of these issues have been addressed. If they get embarrassed in the 1st round again, then the hammer needs to drop starting with Keefe and the GM.
